How to compare Mudae (and other) lists

  1. 1 Paste your primary baseline list into List A and your secondary list into List B. Ensure each item (character, series, or bundle) is on a separate line - otherwise they will merge and appear as a single item.
  2. 2 Configure comparison settings:
    • Deduplicate: Removes repeated entries within each individual list before running set operations.
    • Case-insensitive compare: Treats entries like "Character" and "character" as exact matches. The displayed item will then have the case of the entry from List A.
    • Sort outputs (A-Z): Automatically arranges output results in alphabetical order for easier scanning.
  3. 3 Click Compare to generate four copy-ready results:
    • A ∖ B (A minus B): Items present in List A that are missing from List B.
    • B ∖ A (B minus A): Items present in List B that are missing from List A.
    • Intersection (A ∩ B): Items present in BOTH lists.
    • Union (A ∪ B): Every unique item combined across both lists.

What are some practical use cases for Comparator?

When you need to check which characters are present in two series (e.g., a character from Series A is featured in Series B), you can simply pass the series as List A & List B respectively. The characters that appear in both lists will show up in Intersection.

Another example is auditing disablelists. You can compare two $dl builds to see which bundles appear in both and which ones are unique to the other one. This is useful for comparing old disablelists with new ones or comparing yours with a friend's.
